The size of the budget has been reduced to Rs. 1.4 trillion, Rs. 74 billion and Rs. 640 million next year

May 28, Kathmandu: The government has made public the budget for the Fiscal Year 2077/78 BS. Finance Minister, Dr. Yuba Raj Khatiwada in the Federal Parliament on Wednesday has presented a budget of Rs 640 million out of Rs 1474 billion.

For the current Fiscal Year 2076/77, the government had brought a budget of Rs. 969.1 million of Rs. 1.532 trillion.

For the coming Fiscal Year, a budget of Rs. 948 billion has been allocated for current expenditure, Rs. 352.91 billion for capital expenditure and Rs. 172 billion for financial management.

Khatiwada said that Rs. 889 billion would be raised from revenue, Rs. 60 billion from foreign grants and Rs. 299 billion from foreign loans for resource management of the budget.

He informed that Rs. 225 billion will be raised from internal debt.
