LONDON: English Premier League (EPL) clubs are set to vote on Wednesday to start ‘contact’ training. The vote is another major step towards resuming the league next month.
The British government only allowed contact training on Sunday. This will help the player to return to the field naturally during the game. Only last year, the club formed a small group and started training while maintaining social distance.
20 clubs of the league will participate in the voting. The results of the final round of Covid 19 test taken on the players and sports officials will also come out on Wednesday. So far, only a small number of players and sports officials have tested positive for Covid 19, raising the possibility of a resumption of the league.
